H.E.R. is an acronym for ‘hip hop in it’s essence is real’. In other words, the true meaning of hip hop which gave birth to the positive movement in the 1970s. The purpose of H.E.R. is to give individuals a clear insight into hip hop culture and it’s lifestyle. Hip hop is much more complex than simply just a genre; it is a way of life which is lived through the five elements: graffiti art, breaking, mcing, djing, and knowledge.

 

Several components make up the H.E.R. collateral. These pieces include a testimonial book, an informational booklet, spray can pattern designs, custom stickers and buttons. Each aspect is intended to be visually and mentally informative. The color palette used is bright and vibrant, which compliments the culture of hip hop perfectly. Hip hop is raw and is often misunderstood with negative connotations. However, the goal of H.E.R. is to steer the negativity towards positivity.
